Why we made it
The Oura Ring is one of the best health tools you can wear on your hand. But it still looks like a smart ring. You wear it for the data, then take it off when you want to look put together.
We saw the gap between the ring you wanted to wear and the ring you were actually wearing, and decided to close it with jewelry.
What we made
The Aurean Flow Cloak is hand-finished from solid Sterling Silver 925. The silver Cloak is rhodium-plated for a permanent shine. The gold Cloak has 2.5 microns of premium gold plating over the same Sterling 925 core.
Both slide over your Oura Ring Gen 4 with a soft click. The inside of your Oura stays open against your skin, so every sensor keeps reading like normal.
Each Cloak is sized to all 12 Oura Ring Gen 4 sizes, 4 through 15.
How it's made
We make each Cloak to order. After your size is confirmed, the silver is cast, hand-finished, and plated by hand. Then it's packed in a lit ring case and shipped to your door. The whole process takes 6 to 8 weeks from order to delivery.
We're building Aurean from Cincinnati, Ohio. The Cloak is designed there and finished by hand.
The response so far
We posted the first render of the Cloak on r/ouraring before any of this was real. The community returned with over 200,000 views, more than 1,000 upvotes, and close to 400 comments. We took the same design to Facebook, and the response was the same.
Every comment from those threads is collected on the homepage so the people considering Aurean today can see what the people who saw it first thought.
What's next
The Aurean Flow Cloak for the Oura Ring Gen 4 is the first piece. A Gen 5 Cloak is in development and coming next. From there, we'll keep making jewelry for the rings people don't take off.
