Your Cloak is built to be worn. Daily, in the world, on your hand. Here's how to keep it looking like the day it arrived.

Daily wear

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Sweat, lotion, and skin oils dull the finish over time. A quick wipe at the end of the day is enough.

What to avoid

• Chlorine pools and saltwater
• Harsh cleaners (bleach, ammonia)
• Ultrasonic jewelry cleaners
• Direct contact with perfume, sunscreen, or hair products (apply before, then wash your hands)

Storage

When you're not wearing it, store your Cloak in a soft pouch or jewelry box, away from other metal pieces. Sterling silver tarnishes with prolonged air exposure. Sealed storage slows that down.

Sterling Silver 925, rhodium-plated

The rhodium plating gives the surface its bright mirror finish and resists tarnish for daily wear. With reasonable care, the finish holds for years. If it ever needs refreshing, email hello@aurean.shop and we'll help you arrange re-plating.

Gold-plated, 2.5 microns over Sterling Silver 925

2.5 microns is roughly 2.5 to 5 times thicker than typical fashion-jewelry gold plating, which means it wears for years rather than seasons. Treat it the same way you'd treat fine jewelry. Avoid the same things listed above.
